The new “Examination On Demand” service at TU Darmstadt allows students to flexibly book an individual examination date in a specially equipped room where they can take their exam on a computer. The room is fully automated and monitored, so no supervisory staff are required. The exam runs on the TU Darmstadt's exam Moodle and is compiled randomly from a pool of tasks.

Thomas Lüdecke from the TU Darmstadt's e-learning group will present the exam room at the e-learning roundtable and explain the steps required to take the exam. He will also discuss the opportunities and challenges of this exam format and share best practice examples already existing at the TU Darmstadt.
