New video studio
for teaching and communication in the Wissenschaftsschloss (Science Castle)

A new video studio was created for TU Darmstadt at the end of 2023 as part of the refurbishment of the Science Castle. The University Didactics Centre (HDA) and Science Communication Centre (SCC) work together to manage the studio for teaching, public relations and science communication. The studio is now open and can be visited – from the coming summer semester 2024, it's: Sound, camera and action!
Whether short educational videos, online formats (e.g. MOOC) or speeches and interviews – the new central video studio in the Science Castle offers all of this. All-round lighting, innovative camera technology and a screen that can be used with customised backgrounds ensure a professional appearance. These can be classic slides, but also a thematically appropriate full-screen video or a customised design for the subject area. You can then publish the recordings directly or edit them further.
The studio is supervised by employees of the E-Learning department for productions in the field of teaching and can be used free by request. Productions in the area of public relations are supervised by the SCC.
