University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering

UNITE! is a network of universities from seven European countries that aims to create a new model of a European virtual and physical campus.

The e-learning group is involved in work package 4 “Virtual UNITE! Campus”.

The goal is a virtual UNITE! campus that provides online tools and virtual teaching/learning spaces for use and development for collaborative teaching, research and social and cultural interactions. This is a constantly evolving platform that integrates the latest developments to support the most innovative pedagogical approaches and technologies and provides a model for the development of a virtual pan-European campus for the future.

Unite! Metacampus – the shared digital learning platform of Unite!

The Unite! Metacampus (opens in new tab), based on the Moodle learning platform, is designed for the delivery of courses and teaching activities within Unite!, in which several Unite! partners collaborate. It enables collaboration within a single system with simple and exclusive access for all Unite! members.

Through an LTI interface, students from Unite! universities can also access courses in TU Darmstadt’s Moodle via the Metacampus, without the need to assign guest TU IDs.
