Invitation to the E-Learning Roundtable on 26 January (3 – 4:30 pm)

Topic: Teaching practical digital skills using the example of Moodle

2022/12/13

We would like to invite all who are interested to the E-Learning roundtable! We look forward to the input from Jessica Nixon – from the Institute of General and Vocational Education, Research group Technology Didactics -, as well as the exchange with you.

The issue of digitalisation already has a great influence on the most diverse areas of society. Digital applications are also indispensable for the future of education. Learning management systems (LMS) play a central role in the implementation of various digitally supported teaching-learning settings, which is why prospective teachers need the competences to design and implement teaching concepts with this technology. How digitally supported teaching develops will depend in particular on future teachers. They are challenged to leave familiar paths and to integrate digital applications and media into their lessons in a pedagogically and didactically meaningful way.

At the E-Learning roundtable, Jessica Nixon will present how digital competences are taught in a practical and application-oriented way at the research group of Technology Didactics department by having students independently develop Moodle courses on selected topics.
