Invitation to the Regulars' E-Learning Table on May the 10th (3 – 4:30 pm)

Over the last two years, Kira Weise from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has worked with students to create teaching videos on various topics in the field of materials in construction.

On the one hand, they clearly show normative test procedures for fresh and hardened cement and provide an exciting, partly drone-supported insight into concrete practice. On the other hand, videos were created that present various possible careers after graduation.

The videos were used in teaching in various formats. For example, students receive a clear explanation of normative test procedures in Moodle lessons, which contain excerpts from the videos, and learn how to deal with DIN standards in a “playful” way by working through the associated tasks. In addition, the teaching videos were shown for the first time last semester in the form of a “materials cinema” in the lecture hall and were thus able to give the Bachelor's students a small practical insight.

The experience report by Kira Weise gives an insight into the creation of the teaching videos and their use in different formats in teaching together with the respective feedback from the students.
