How can I adjust or increase the volume of my video afterwards?

If you spoke too quietly in certain parts of a video or if the overall audio is too quiet after uploading to Panopto, you can adjust the audio using the ''Normalise Audio Volume'' function.

This can be done in two ways:

1) You want to adjust the audio level for the entire video.

  • Open the video in the editor.
  • In the toolbar of the timeline below the video player, tick the box for ''Normalise Audio Volume''.
  • Click the ''Apply'' button to save the adjustment.

2) You want to adjust the audio volume of a specific stream in a video, e.g., video or screen recording.

  • Open your video in the editor and navigate to the 'Streams' tab.
  • Select the video track you want to adjust. Click on the three dots (context menu) and choose ''Edit''.
  • In the following window, tick the box for ''Normalise Audio Volume''.
  • Then, apply the changes in the editor once you are satisfied with the result.
