Activities Block
The Activities block lists all the activities and resources available in the course. This can be especially helpful in large Moodle courses, as it enables quick and direct navigation to the activities.
To add the Activities block to your course, first switch to editing mode by using the toggle switch in the top right corner. Then, within the right sidebar (gray arrow), you can add a block. In the block overview, select “Activities” (see screenshot "The Activites Block, steps 1.1-1.2)
In the created Activities block, all activities within the course are listed under general categories. For example, all forums are grouped under the term “Forums” (see screenshot “The Activities Block”, Step 2). After clicking on one of the categories, a new overview page will appear, listing the individual activities (possibly further subdivided). To navigate to a specific activity, simply click on the activity name (see screenshot “Navigating to a Specific Activity”).
The Activities block provides a quick way to navigate to individual activities. This can be particularly helpful in large courses, where otherwise a lot of scrolling would be required.
