Moodle: assignment, tests [at the TU]

Online tests and submission & assessment of assignments within the learning platform

Teachers can integrate online tests for their students for self-assessment in the Moodle learning platform , for example for practising or for targeted preparation for individual course dates or the examination. Assignments can also be processed via Moodle – from setting the assignment to submitting a submission and grading it.

For assignments, deadlines can be set and submissions can be made in various forms – via text or audio input as well as file uploads. Teachers can then provide feedback and grading.

For tests, there are various setting options (how often the test can be repeated, whether it has a limited duration, etc.) and question types available. You can find more information on how to use the different question types in our Moodle FAQ for teachers: “Tests & Assignments” topic .

For students

Use the opportunities to practise and prepare for exams that your lecturers provide with the help of tests or assignments.

There is also the Moodle activity “StudentQuiz”, in which students can become active and create their own quiz questions. The activity must initially be set up by the teacher in the course, but can then be filled with life by students.
