Flinga [on the Web]

for simple, quick mind maps

Flinga is a web-based online tool that enables team members to collaboratively create mind maps, notes, and ideas. The tool can be especially useful for conducting activities in larger groups, such as brainstorming sessions during a lecture.

Creating mind maps can support a wide range of activities in the context of university teaching, including self-directed learning phases, exam preparation, and planning academic papers.

Flinga has two main areas of application: the Whiteboard and the Wall. The Whiteboard is well suited for group activities where ideas are collected; the Wall is ideal for developing ideas individually or collaboratively. Thanks to Flinga, participants can see how their ideas take shape in real time. As an alternative to MindMeister, Flinga is free of charge and simpler to use, but it also has fewer features – for example, it does not offer a chat window or templates such as to-do lists.
