How do I find the Panopto folder linked to Moodle?
On the Panopto platform:
As shown in Tutorial 01 (opens in new tab), a folder with the same name as the Moodle course is automatically created on Panopto for storing videos when the course is set up. You can find this folder on the Panopto platform (opens in new tab) via the menu item “Browse” and then “My Folders” > “Moodle” > “Semester XY” > “Department XY” > “Course Name”.
Important:
If you rename a Moodle course afterwards, the name of the linked Panopto folder will not be updated automatically!
It is best to save the link to the Panopto folder as a browser bookmark initially. The link remains the same due to the unique folder ID.
On the Moodle platform:
Another way to find the Panopto folder of a Moodle course is by adding the Panopto block to the respective Moodle course. In the Moodle FAQ: Blocks in Moodle Courses you can find instructions on how to add a block in a Moodle course.
Once the block is added to the Moodle course, you can access the Panopto folder or its settings directly by clicking “Course Settings” in the block.
Additionally, students will see a list of all recordings from this folder directly in the Moodle course via the Panopto block, unless you hide the block.
