Creating a Moodle Course

A Moodle course is usually created via the TUCaN-Moodle interface. Should the Moodle course not be connected to TUCaN, applying for a manual creation is required.

Using the TUCaN Moodle Interface

For your TUCaN course, a Moodle course can be automatically generated. To do this, enter the term “moodle” in the “Online offers” field in the TUCaN course description.

In addition to the titles and short titles, the course description and the students and instructors are now permanently transferred from TUCaN to Moodle.

FAQ: The TUCaN-Moodle-Interface

Instruction-Interface

The “moodle” term can be entered as long as the course in TUCaN is open for editing (usually in the winter semester until September 1st, in the summer semester until March 1st); students can only register in TUCaN from these deadlines. If you would like to make this entry at a later date, please contact your Office for Student Affairs to authorise your to edit it again in TUCaN.

Do you have courses for which you want to use Moodle, but which are not managed via TUCaN? Then send an to the Moodle team with the title and short title of the course and the subject area in which it should be categorised.
