Granting Students Access to Courses from Previous Semesters
For courses in the current semester, students are automatically enrolled in the corresponding Moodle course after registering for the TUCaN event. However, if students need access to a Moodle course from a previous semester, automatic enrollment is not possible.
If you would like to add a student to a course from a previous semester, you have two options:
1. Manual Enrollment
You decide whether or not to grant a student access to the course and manually enroll them yourself. The course is not open for self-enrollment by all students. Students will contact you with a request for enrollment.
To learn how to manually enroll individual students in your course, please refer to this guide: Enroling Participants Manually
2. Enable Self-Enrollment
If you would like to generally allow students to access your course, you can enable self-enrollment. This allows students to enroll themselves in your course, so you don’t have to handle enrollments manually.
You can also limit the self-enrollment to a specific time period—outside of this window, enrollment will not be possible.
